Das einzig, uns bekannte Streetwear Label aus Serbien, Carrot Clothing, startet mit einer hammerstarken Kollektion in den Herbst. Neben Street Artists wie Rick Marr und Steve ESPO Powers ist auch eine Kollaboration mit 123Klan im Gepäck. Ebenfalls wird Karmaloop erstmals die Kollektion in ihren Shop aufnehmen. Neben Karmaloop könnt ihr euch die Kollektion auch im Carrot Clothing eigenen Online-Shop selbst holen. Carrot’s Statement:

Steve Espo Powers hat für Carrot Clothing einen Pullover designt, welcher mit der kommenden Herbst 2009 Kollektion released wird! Erinnert irgendwie an die Rainbow Flag, nicht wahr?
When we ask Steve to explain meaning of this piece, he just said: “Street art is gay, and proud of it.”

Carrot Delivery II Lookbook & Interview

Nun ist die Summer 2009 Collection von Carrot Clothing vollständig! Das es das serbische Label, welches schon mit Künstlergrössen wie Estevan Oriol zusammen gearbeitet hat, ernst meint, zeigt sich durch das Interview mit dem etablierten Format Magazine.
Format: Where do you see Carrot Clothing within the next five to ten years? How do you plan to stay separate from the herd?
Alexander Gligorich: I see Carrot Clothing as a Top 5 brand. Not necessarily through sales but in terms of originality. I don’t have strict plans about where I want this to go but I can promise that whatever road we do follow, we will not make any compromises.

Auch ausserhalb der bekannten Szene entsteht grossartige Streetwear. So auch beim serbischen Label Carrot Clothing. Vor kurzem haben sie ihre Sommer 2009 Kollektion released.
Urban lifestyle brand Carrot Clothing can trace its roots back to 1999, a tumultuous time for its owner’s native Serbia. In a noble effort to uplift lagging spirits and voice personal concerns about freedom, he began printing t-shirts featuring unmuted anti-war messages for family and friends. This move, though courageous, landed him in jail and at the mercy of unforgiving local authorities for spreading allegedly “terrorist” policies. Since then, he has joined forces with skateboarders, street artists, and other creative minds to establish Carrot Clothing, a brand whose very essence is based upon the family-like relationships between global art, skate, and street communities.
